About FormoHost
Global hosting. Worldwide reach.
FormoHost has been selling servers since 2017 and has been a Delaware limited liability company since 2018 — KVM VPS in 44 countries and dedicated servers in 15, through carefully selected partner operators.
OUR STORY
From Delaware to the world
FormoHost started in 2017 with a narrow complaint. Every host we had used was excellent in one country and mediocre everywhere else. Wanting a server in Frankfurt and one in New York meant two providers, two invoices and two support queues — and one of the two was always the weak link.
So we built it the other way around. Rather than running one facility and calling it global, we buy capacity from the operator who is already the best in each country, and put a single account and a single invoice on top of all of them. Nine years on that is 44 countries for VPS and 22 for bare metal.
A country only joins the list when we would run our own production on it. That means real in-country transit rather than a tunnel to a neighbour, a dedicated IPv4 on every plan, and an operator who answers at three in the morning. It is also why some countries people ask for are still not here.
Our name “Formo” comes from “Formosa,” meaning “beautiful” in Portuguese. It represents our commitment to providing beautiful, reliable hosting infrastructure to the world.
Usually a customer whose users are in that country and whose current host is two hops too far away.
Transit and peering first, then hardware, then the thing nobody advertises — how fast a ticket gets answered at 3am local time.
Before it is offered to anyone, it carries something of ours for long enough to see how it behaves on a bad day.
Same IPv4 policy, same refund, same panel as every other region. If it cannot meet those, it does not go on.
HOW WE OPERATE
How we operate
We buy capacity from operators who are already the best in their country, rather than running one facility and calling it global.
A server in Frankfurt and a server in New York bill together and are managed from the same panel — one of the few things a large host genuinely cannot do for you across 44 countries.
There is no first-line script here. A ticket goes to someone who can log into the hypervisor, which is why most are settled in the first reply rather than the third.
